The Museum of Rural Civilization was born in 1980 thanks to the work of Peter Locapo, collector and overseer who collected archaeological objects related to grain growing, viticulture, grazing, the system of animal-drawn transport, games and traditional clothing, referring to a period between the end of 1800 and the 30s of last century. Originally located in a building in Via G. Vista, then in Via Maggio 1648 , the Locapo collection was acquired by the City hall in 1986 and was moved to Piazza Santa Teresa.
